Spinning Earth Screensaver is a 3-D simulation of the earth in rotation. View a dynamic visualization of nighttime as it moves around the planet. Apply thematic Map wrap-arounds: Political Boundaries, Elevation & Depth, Land Cover, and Population Density. Select user preferences for: float & rotation speeds; latitude & longitude; "transparent" oceans; "real-time" display; nighttime; earth size; clock display.

INSTRUCTIONS
Follow download instructions from the screen prompts. “Run this program from its current location” installs the program. “Save this program to disk” allows you to save the file to a specified location and install the program later by opening the file: “TVSESS.exe.” To set Spinning Earth as your default screensaver: Right-click on your desktop to open the desktop options menu. Select “Properties” to open the “Display Properties” window. Click the “Screensaver” tab. From the dropdown menu select “Spinning Earth.” Several options are available for adapting Spinning Earth to suit your preferences.
