DOWNLOAD INSTRUCTIONS
The Global Data Viewer (GDV) downloadable zip file is 84MB. When you download the zip file click "Save to Disk" to save the file to your computer. Navigate to the saved zip file and extract its contents to a new folder. Follow the installation instructions below.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
NOTE: The person running the install (new install or upgrade) must have “administrator” privileges. System requirements: Intel-based personal computer running Microsoft® Windows® XP or Vista. Available hard disk space required: 400MB. Uninstall any prior versions of TerraViva!

Run the program “set-up.exe" located in the folder that contains the extracted zip files. Follow the prompts through the install wizard. You may receive a message "Do you wish to upgrade?" If so, reply "Yes" to insure that you install the latest version. Once the installation process is complete, a shortcut for TerraViva! Global Data Viewer will be placed on the desktop. Shortcuts for TerraViva! Global Data Viewer and TerraViva! Map Loader, a companion program, will be placed in the Start menu of your computer.

NOTE WINDOWS VISTA USERS: Set privileges to administrator after installing TerraViva! Global Data Viewer. From the Start menu on your computer locate the shortcut for TerraViva! Global Data Viewer. Right-click on the icon to open the Properties dialog box, then click the Compatibility tab and put a check in the box for "run this program as an administrator."

NOTE MAC USERS: TerraViva! Global Data Viewer requires tools that are available in a Microsoft® Windows® environment. Users who have installed Virtual PC and Windows on their MacIntosh® computers may be able to run TerraViva! Global Data Viewer successfully. We do not currently have plans for porting the software to a native Mac environment.
