DATA ACCESS OPTIONS
USING MENUS: To download a thematic map dataset open the MapLibrary menu in Global Data Viewer (GDV), select any map visible in the menu and let GDV fetch the data for you. To access a geostatistical dataset open the Tools>Plot GeoData menu in GDV, select any geostatistical dataset visible in the menu and let GDV fetch the data for you.

USING MAP LOADER: To download all thematic map datasets visible in the MapLibrary menu at once, use Map Loader, available in the Start menu of your computer. Map Loader is a separate program installed along with GDV that quietly downloads all maps visible in GDV. Depending on the speed of your internet connection, Map Loader may take a few minutes or more to execute.

USING GEOSERVER: If you don't see a dataset you want in the MapLibrary menu, go to the GeoServer, download the zip file for the desired dataset and extract its contents, then use the Import menu in GDV. (Note: No additional geostatistical datasets are available on the GeoServer at this time.)

USING CDs: Higher resolution data may be available on CD. Check Data Catalog for availability.
